03/08/2009 Gile Hill Receives ENERGY STAR Certification
The homes at Gile Hill have received the ENERGY STAR "5 Star+" designation following field inspections by Conservation Services Group. ENERGY STAR qualified homes are inspected and tested by an independent Home Energy Rater to meet EPA's new and more rigorous guidelines for energy efficiency.
06/03/2009 Gile Hill Receives LEED Gold Certification
The first two buildings at Gile Hill have been awarded the coveted Gold Certification under the LEED for Homes program. Examples of the way in which green building principles are found throughout the project include the siding on the buildings milled from the trees from the site, extra insulation from the foundation to the roof, ultra high efficiency heating equipment, energy efficient windows, compact building footprints, the use of paint, carpet and other finishes that do not release toxic chemicals, and the use of Vermont slate, responsibly grown bambooflooring, and other sustainable building materials.
09/18/2009 Now Accepting Deposits for Second Phase
Two new buildings are under construction - including the first townhomes at Gile Hill - and we are now accepting deposits for spring 2010 occupancy.
